Multiple manufacturers are supporting Microsoft Lync and developing some very smart and efficent end points. For example the Snom 300 with Snom OCS firmware is the first open-SIP-based IP desktop phone to natively register to the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and Lync.

Today my company announced Brad Conley has been hired as our new Microsoft Business Development Manager. I had the pleasure to work with Brad when he was our Business Development manager at Microsoft. He was instrumental in helping grow our Microsoft UC practice. I am excited to have him on our team now. His knowledge of the Microsoft sales cycle and his relationships with the Microsoft account executives will be valued here at SOURCE.

Yesterday, 11/17/10 was the worldwide launch of Microsoft Lync*, its newly rebranded unified communications platform.  The virtual media event was broadcast from New York and was impressive. A link to the replay is available here; Microsoft Lync worldwide lauch replay.
