Account Manager

Summary of Position

Assist the sales team in achieving team sales goals. Interact with the sales team to plan and implement account management strategies and tactics to ensure account retention, customer satisfaction and assist in meeting revenue goals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist sales team to maximize short and long term sales goals.
  • Respond and follow up to sales enquiries by mail and/or telephone for existing accounts.
  • Maintain relationships at assigned accounts to ensure account penetration and expected revenues are met. Engage the sales team in opportunities to expand existing relationships and generate new revenue streams.
  • Act as an interface between the sales team and other functional areas of the company.
  • Maintain and develop a computerized customer and prospect database using company system in support of sales team.
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information to agreed-upon budgets, sales volumes, values, and time tables.
  • Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills needed to perform job at top level.

Job Qualifications

Previous account management or customer service experience is a must. The ability to function with flexibility, integrity and professionalism; ability to adjust communications to specific situation/level of knowledge; effective and efficient communicator.

College degree or equivalent relevant work experience; 2 years experience in account management or customer service, Sales/Account Management training certification(s) preferred (Emphasis on Avaya Certified Associate – Sales).

Specialized knowledge and skills include: software and technical solution sales experience (including Avaya pricing and product sets), market knowledge; CRM, excel and project tracking software knowledge.

OTHER FIDUCIARY REQUIREMENTS

By the nature of this position and its reporting structure, the Account Manager – Support incumbent will work closely with their assigned Account Executive Team, external (Source clients and prospective clients) and internal customers (e.g., Project Management, Technical Assistance Center, Project Coordination, Order Entry, Accounts Receivable, Shipping, Help Desk). Because it is extremely important that we foster professional and respectful working relations with all those we interact with to provide the best in services, the Account Manager – Support incumbent must provide dedicated and loyal services to the business of Source, Inc. and, perform the position in a manner that is in complete compliance with the Company’s ethical values.
