Cisco Field Engineer

Summary of Position

Provide engineering support of Cisco IP Networking products and IP Telephony to effect value-added communication solutions to the end-user customers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Implementation of Call Manager, Unity, IPCC, Call Manager Express platforms.
  • Configuration and Implementation of Cisco LAN/WAN products
  • End User Training.
  • Troubleshoot VoIP Implementations.
  • Assess end-user networks, systems requirements and limitations in order to build win-win solutions.
  • Provide technical sales assistance and product expertise when necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Incumbent must possess 3 or more years of Cisco product experience plus, current CCNA, CCNP, or CCVP Certification.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and supporting Cisco Internetworking and IP/Telephony Systems.
  • Familiar with MPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, and BGP plus.
  • Incumbent must have demonstrated technical knowledge and/or operating experience with TCP/IP networking, including Campus LAN switching, WAN routing, firewalls, VPN's, Security, QoS, Converged Multi-Service Networks (Voice and Video).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent Customer service and Interaction skills.
  • Must be able to Lead or be part of the team to implement the architected solution.
  • This position requires a college degree or equivalent relevant work experience.

Other Fiduciary Requirements

By the nature of this position and its reporting structure, it is required that the Cisco Field Engineer work closely with the Cisco Applications Sales Engineer to obtain, grow, and maintain enterprise accounts for Cisco products and services. The incumbent in this position must provide dedicated and loyal services to the business of Source, Inc. and, perform the position in a manner that is in complete compliance with the ethical values of Source, Inc.
