Accountability & Information

SOURCE holds the patent for the Closed Loop Asset Management Process (CLAMP). Developed and implemented internally in 1984, CLAMP provides 100 percent accountability on SOURCE-managed inventory.

100 percent accountability = reduced costs to customers.

CLAMP utilizes serialized bar coding to identify every piece of equipment received by SOURCE. A centralized receiving area assigns a bar code, which remains with the equipment until it is out of service. Each bar code identifies the owner and the processes specific to a customer’s requirements. The processes are software-driven, ensuring the equipment does not pre-maturely advance to a subsequent phase, prior to meeting all process requirements.

The serialized bar code allows SOURCE to track repair history, warranty status and ownership. All historical information on equipment, across every customer, is maintained in a centralized database, giving SOURCE detailed information and vast reporting capabilities. Additionally, identification by serialized bar code optimizes equipment storage through efficient use of space and simplified accessibility, hence reducing costs to customers.
